About Walnut Lawn Bed and Breakfast
Enjoy a morning cup of coffee on our expansive front porch. Our guest-friendly grounds welcome you to stroll around the fountain garden and the flowering wisteria bush adorning the pergola. Any time of the day, our guests can gather in the gazebo for a friendly game, conversation, or just to relax. We cater to adults looking for a child-free and quiet get-away.
We are in the midst of Amish and Mennonite farms near covered bridges, outlet malls, antique and quilt shops, theatres, museums, and outdoor markets. If you like to bike or hike, there are numerous trails throughout the county. Enjoy a day packed with a buggy ride, a tour of the Amish farm area, and feasting on a whoopie pie or shoofly pie.
Our inn has hosted visitors from around the world. We offer what Lancaster Hotels cannot. Our first-floor guest areas are designed to meet any request including hosting a variety of groups. We have accommodated craft and scrapbooking party weekends, family reunions, girls’ getaways, and game playing-groups. Our Dining and Living rooms are perfect places to spend time with friends and family, meet new friends, or just relax. Our welcoming and expansive wrap-around porch begs for a visit from our guests, offering the bench swing, wicker chairs, and rockers for a bit of relaxing as you watch the Amish buggies trot by. We enjoy exchanging life and travel stories with our guests, and we have accommodated families who attend area weddings, special events, college visits, and for those who just want to get away.
We are proud to provide a smoke-free and vape-free environment and require that those activies occur at least 40 feet from the house or out-buildings so that guests can enjoy the clean and fresh country air wafting around the porch and in the gardens.
Beth, your Innkeeper, always dreamed of having a B&B in the heart of wonderful Lancaster County. In September 2014 that dream came true when she purchased the charming inn. She has always enjoyed hosting family and friends, and now welcomes the opportunity to offer you a unique lodging experience within the Amish and Mennonite culture of Lancaster County. Beth, her husband Chris, and their dog Rooney welcome you to share in the joy of Walnut Lawn.
